Bat Removal Service

FAST RESPONSE 7 DAYS A WEEK

Bats eat mosquitoes as well as other bugs responsible for destroying plants. Bats are worth more than $3.7 billion a year to the economy in reduced pesticide use and crop damage. But they also damage dwellings and their droppings (guano) can be harmful to humans. Around 4% of bats tested in the Northeast were found to be positive for the rabies virus, which there is no cure for once symptoms appear. A bat bite may cause no pain or go unnoticed (possibly while asleep), the rabies virus can still be passed on.

We are licensed professionals in bat removal that can also offer attic remediation, seal-up, and we will humanely remove any bats. We remove all contamination and prevent their return for good. Our bat removal services are backed by a comprehensive warranty.

ARE THERE BATS IN MY HOME?

Do you have strong odors, bat droppings, stains or hear noises?

Bat droppings, or guano, have a strong, toxic odor similar to ammonia. Droppings are usually close to where they enter the home. Bats can leave an oily stain on the surface of the entry point. Bat's make a chirping sound in evenings and before dawn. You could hear noises like scratching or scurrying.

Bats are good for the
environment, so it is
important to not harm them

Habitat loss is making it more difficult for bats to find adequate daytime roosting. Bat-houses can encourage them to roost in places other than your home. We can help you with placement of bat-houses to make them more preferable to bats.

Prevention is key to bat control. Bats are great at squeezing into small holes; even a hole that is the size of a quarter. They can fit just about anywhere there is an opening on the outside of the home.

Excluding and Deterring

Installing bat exit doors allows bats to exit while blocking them from entry again. Identified entry points will be sealed before this process. In a short period of time all bats in the home will have exited for good. When the signs of bat residency are gone, exit doors will be removed and those areas will be sealed.

Disinfect and Repair

Rabies is a viral infection that attacks the central nervous system and if not immediately vaccinated against, has a high mortality rate. The brown bat, which usually dwells in human structures, is a known carrier of the rabies virus. Rabies can be transmitted from live or even dead bats to humans. Another disease to be aware of when dealing with bats is histoplasmosis. It spreads by the disturbance of bat feces (guano), including that which has accumulated within a dwelling, where the normal process of rain-washing into soil isn't present. The spores of disturbed, accumulated guano can become airborne and cause histoplasmosis. Proper decontamination and repair of damaged areas is of the utmost importance for your family's safety and well-being.
